Welcome to your private lakefront escape on quiet Hermit Lake in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. This cozy, rustic-modern home sits directly on the water, with its own beach, dock, and yard. Hermit Lake is an off-the-beaten-path lake in the Lakes Region, known for its calm feel and scenic shoreline. You get a New Hampshire lake without the crowds. Step inside a classic New Hampshire log cabin with modern finishes: warm pine flooring, a cathedral ceiling, and exposed wooden beams that add character and charm. The main level is open-concept, with the kitchen, dining area, and living room flowing together. Large windows frame the lake and hill views and fill the home with natural light. The kitchen features custom cabinets, an electric cooktop, plenty of counter space, and a beautiful view of the lake while you cook. The living room centers around a fireplace, perfect for curling up after a day on the slopes. A large deck and screened-in porch give you extra space to enjoy the lake views. Four bedrooms mean there is room for everyone. The upstairs primary bedroom has a premium mattress and feels private and quiet.     The most perfect way to relax and unwind in Maxwell's lake house in Sanbornton! The home has everything your could possibly need or want and MORE! We spent a wonderful 5 days enjoying the home, the lake, fishing, paddle boating and taking long walks. The surrounding area is so peaceful and tranquil it just made you feel like you had found the perfect escape. Maxwell is an incredible host - from check to check out he ensures that the experience is stress free. The house itself is unbelievable - it has so much to offer a couple like us or a large group. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm and the BBQ outside on the verandah overlooking the lake is like something out of a movie. We are definitely going to come back!!! Highly recommend spending time here!

    fantastic stay by the lake at Maxwell's home. plenty of room inside for everyone, and all the beds were very comfortable. the lake was beautiful and calm, and with all the included kayaks/canoes it was easy for all of us to enjoy the water. the big open space on the first floor was great for hanging out when the weather got too bad. we will definitely be back!

    We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful lakeside home. The location is stunning, with a perfect lakefront setting that made our trip feel peaceful and special. The house had everything we could possibly need—thoughtfully stocked, comfortable, and very well designed. Every detail has clearly been considered to make guests feel at home. It was also spotless and impeccably maintained, which really stood out to us. You can tell the hosts truly care about their guests and take pride in the property. we had fun in game room, fishing and firepit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We would definitely love to come back!
